Frequently asked questions.

What is an EAV machine?

EAV is the device that measures electrical conductance on a specific point of  human body. The tested client holds a ground (negative) electrode in one hand and the therapist tests a selected body point with a Probe (positive electrode) of the machine. The client is a part of the electric circuit, whose conductance is measured by the EAV device. Our Aucomb and Slavia measuring devices are connected to a computer via proprietary software that provides immediate test readings indicating imbalances in different parts of the body.

What is the history of the EAV testing?

German scientist and a medical doctor Reinholt Voll investigated effects of electricity on human body in 1950 and found high level of electrical resistance on specific points of the body. He noted that these points corresponded with the acupuncture points used by Traditional Chinese Medicine. Therefore he called the method the Electro-Acupuncture by Voll, or EAV.

At the beginning, it was necessary to measure about 340 points on the surface of the human body to get the results. Furthure research allowed to gradually reduce the number of measured points. Around 1995 Dr. Schimmel, the German dentist and electro-acupuncturist, modified the EAV device and now only one point is being used for measurement. Since 2000 this modified version of Voll`s device has been manufactured by Joalis as SALVIA. In 2012 another testing device named ACUCOMB V2 was developed.

Salvia and Acucomb devices were also designed to test suitability of chosen Joalis detoxification preparations for a specific client. The device is connected to the computer programme (EAM) that allows testing large numbers of virtual data on human organism (anatomy, biochemistry), foods, allergens, drugs, narcotics, microorganisms and hundreds of other information.  As a result the testing process for toxins and remedy testing can be completed within a single visit.

Is Salvia device exam painful?

Not at all. The test is painless. The client holds the ground electrode in one hand and the therapist applies the probe with minimum pressure to measure the surface tension on the skin of the other hand. The skin is not punctured. The level of electricity in the circuit is so small that the client cannot feel it. It is less that 1.5 volts and less than 10 micro amps. Higher levels would disrupt the accuracy of readings.

The testing usually takes about 45 minutes. During the visit the therapist identifies your toxicity level using the EAV machine and then recommends appropriate Joalis preparations.

How widespread is the EAV testing?

It is estimated that there are 25 000 therapists using the EAV screening in Europe.

There are currently 500 active therapists using the EAV testing in conjunction with Joalis preparations. They are located in the UK, Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia with other countries being gradually added.

How many tests and detoxification treatments are required?

The number of treatments depends on the client’s state of health. One treatment lasts approximately 4-6 weeks. After it has been completed the therapist evaluates the effect of the detoxification by another test and will advise accordingly. Most problems can be addressed over two or three treatments. In practice many clients see their detoxification advisor regularly. The human body is in constant contact with toxins from the environment and lifestyle, therefore detoxification is an on-going process. Successful detoxification often involves some modification to the individual`s diet and/or lifestyle.

Do Joalis preparations have any side effects?

Our preparations do not have any side effects. However, so-called detoxification symptoms may occur. This is  a sign that the body is eliminating toxins. Detoxification symptoms are temporary and disappear by themselves within several days.

Who are the therapists?

We train our therapists in using the EAV testing method and the associated devices. Training is a repeated process. The EAV screening is not a mechanical activity. It requires skill to locate the exact point to take the correct measurements. Every human body is slightly different and there is no exact map for locating relevant body points. Finding it depends on training, practice and experience.

Throughout Europe the Joalis advisors are offered additional trainings and are kept up to date with the latest developments and advancements in preparations.

Is it necessary to consult a therapist? Why consult a therapist if I can buy Joalis food supplements on your website?

The true cause of ailments is not always obvious. An experienced Joalis advisor has professional knowledge of anatomy and physiology, along with the knowledge of the principles of the Method of Managed and Controlled detoxification.

The therapist chooses suitable preparations based on analysis of your ailments, combined with EAV testing. The EAV device verifies the selection of preparation during your visit. A detoxification treatment is therefore “made-to-measure” specifically for you, thus more effective.
